The village Skéne is found 14klm from the city of Chania. In all the way you meet also other villages in bright green environment, after the band is bigger in production orange in Crete. Each 4-5 km you meet other villages as in Fourne, the Meskla, the Orthouni or the Theriso it get to know thus traditional Cretans and their habits. The band is more general quiet, friendly and with calm rythms even if it is found so much near a big city as Chania. The stay in the villa can combine the quietness of a village, the contact with the nature and the amazing walks, or cycling hrough beautiful paths in the trees. In the village, but also in the next villages, exist taverns, mini markets, gas stations, newspapers, oven ka. on the first or sudden needs. Except the town of Chania with all the choices for nightly amusement, for shopping’s, walk in the shops..e.c.t, in distance of 12 km NW from the villa is found the known tourist resort, with the amazing beach, the Platanias. The White Mountains, the Omalos and gorge of Samaria, that is found hardly 26 km southern from the villa. In the street to Chania and in distance hardly 4 km it exists the lake of Agyias, second afterwards the lake of Kournas, in the island. |
